The Keetons

Raised in New Orleans
Saved May 7, 1972
Earned Associate Church Music Degree 1981

After serving many years as music minister there was a void yet to be filled. In 1994 joined my first quartet. It wasn't long before I knew this was my true calling. After much prayer, God led me to a paraphrase of Proverbs 3:6. "In everything you do put God First, and He will direct and crown your efforts with success."

I sang with Solid Rock III Quartet (mixed) for 5 years. 3 years singing bass and 2 years singing baritone. I moved to Kentucky to sing baritone with Solid Rock Quartet, my first male quartet.

Wanting to be better equipped to communicate the gospel, I attended The Charles Novell school of Gospel Music for 5 different summers. I was greatly influenced by Danny Funderburk, Ann Downing, Bill Baize and Charles Novell.

Since then, I performed 4 years solo, recording two projects with two radio releases. I sang bass with The Cokers in Cartersville, Georgia and sang lead with Calvary's Hill Quartet in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

My greatest inspiration for serving God through southern gospel was Glen Payne. In 1996 The Cathederals came to my church in Virginia. I ask Glen questions about singing gospel music. He said:"Never stop doing vocal exercises and never sing out of your range. Remember God gave you the ability and the desire. Honor Him with with a servants heart.

Now God has blessed my efforts as baritone singer for The Keetons!
